I love the New Year’s holiday because it provides both a time for reflection on the past year and a blank slate for the year to come.
Here are a few of my favorite New Year’s rituals — and I’d love to hear yours!
Drop them in the comments below. ⬇️
When Sean and I first moved to Arizona, we lived with our friends Patty and Sheila. This was a tradition in their house so we picked it up from them and I’ve kept it as a part of my New Year’s ritual ever since. Give yourself a boost of serotonin by organizing your space. Your brain will thank you. ????????
Get rid of old/expired food, medication, etc.
Go through credit card and bank statements and unsubscribe from anything I haven’t looked at or used in the last 3 months. I just saved $1,906 for 2023 by canceling things like apps and software I wasn’t using or consolidating to one discounted annual payment instead of monthly.
Pay off credit cards, payment plans, etc:
Depending on the size of these debts, it may not be something I can do all at once, but when possible, I pay everything off to go into the new year fresh and clean. For the majority of my life, this wouldn’t have been something I’d be able to do so it feels like a bonus blessing every year that I can.
Cheers to a Lucrative New Year! ????
