I enjoyed this book; perhaps you will too.
The Man Who Solved the Market tells the story of the Renaissance Medallion fund, one of the most successful hedge funds in history, led by Jim Simons.
While it doesn’t share their trade secrets, it introduces a host of interesting characters who came together to create extraordinary profits, plus showcases the global impact these sums of money can have, whether you agree with their actions or not.
I’m guessing the reason I liked it so much is that it offered a peek into another world. I’m about as far from a quant as you can get so it was intriguing to learn more about how they trade. Check it out and let me know what you think.
