Just brutal.
Curious:
* Did you try both Apple and Windows (always preferable, unless Linux would work for their software)?
* And a phone too (always preferable to have Android)? Sometimes when desktop computers OS’s won’t work, phone apps still will.
* MOSSTLY THOUGH: What did Trade Station say was the actual underlying issue??
Good reason to have second account different broker. You could short against long or buy put.
Reason to have backup computer and isp. Probably still lose $ but maybe not as much.
Stressful!
Trade Station should be made accountable for your loss.
TradeStation has a very a very poor customer service. I used to trade options and I used their platform, and when it was time to get hold of somebody, it was 30-60 minutes until someone decided to pick up! I was so mad…..I switc hee brokers after that……but now I only trade Futures and love it’s!
I’m really sorry for what happened, Mindie. Hope it doesn’t devastate you too much and recover quickly.
As I reminded myself to be cautious on many things, I became more cognizant of possible downfalls in trading, especially the highly leveraged stuff like futures. While many things can go wrong, we need to cherish by embracing it when it’s going well.
Cheers,
Ko
